The spacer is mainly used for children and patients with poor coordination of inhalation and hand movements, or patients with obvious local side effects in the throat after using MDI. Especially for inhaled corticosteroids, the use of a spacer significantly reduces the local and potentially systemic side effects of inhaled corticosteroids.
