The SPIRE’IT® applicator is a ready-to-use mechanical suture used in implant fixation. The Spire is used in many surgical procedures such as hernia repairs. Made from a shape memory alloy thread, NITINOL, it has, at rest, in the form of double 4mm in diameter coils. 10 sutures are placed elongated in a barrel and return to their initial shape when implanted.
