Avalon Automated Multiplex System (AAMST) is a PCR-based (Polymerase chain reaction) molecular diagnostics system that can detect more than40 pathogens simultaneously in around 90 minutes at relatively low cost and with high sensitivity and specificity. AAMST consists of 3 elements: the Analyzer (AAMA), the Reagent Cartridge (AAMC) and the Software (AAMS). The AAMA is an all-in-one comprehensive device and it fully automates operations from extraction, amplification, and detection to signal analysis with less than 1 minute pre-handling time. Designed as a platform technology, it is used along with the customizable AAMC and the system is suitable for both clinical and non-clinical applications.
